Are you a new FTC VT team and are ready to dig into your new kit? Do you just love UNBOXING events?? The team of UVM College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences, Generator Maker Space, UVM 4-H have been working hard – from a distance – to rally up new FTC teams for the 2020-2021 season. Since all of the teams will be receiving kits within days of each other, and since it matters how you open and explore your kit, we are excited to bring you a workshop on doing just that! Join the FTC Team #16221, the Manchester Machine Makers, as they gather ‘round the kit at BAM to walk us through the parts and pieces, talk about what it’s like to be a 1st year team, and have a generally good time! In-person space is very limited and requires some pre-arrival paperwork. The Bennington Area Makerspace provides opportunities for connection to the entire community via intellectually and physically creative activities. We are building an accessible, open, and safe space for the community to explore science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) skills and support entrepreneurship by making things and making connections. The guiding principle of BAM is to enable transdisciplinary collaboration and intergenerational exchange to feed curiosity, support discovery, and encourage entrepreneurial development in the Bennington area.
